Haven't figured out how to use the wire guided missile. However, I do know for a fact that it packs a big punch, and has a very long fuse, so it'll fly for quite a while.

It uses the same up/down-left/right keys as the bomber site. I programed my keyboard arrow keys to control it.
However, if we start flying it alot in the 1946 sim, I might plug my old Saitek throttle quad back in and use the little thumb stick to control it. I would like to set up a itty bitty joystick dedicated to the X4 and am monkeying around here for the trick set up.
I wish there was some way to put my view into the nose of the X4 until contact as it is still tough to judge and only small inputs are needed. I have also found that if you get in closer, you can just fire it off like an unguided rocket but it defeats the purpose of being able to kill bombers from a stand off distance well out of gun range.
The Ta183 and the X4 are far and away the most deadly if allowed to attack from above or at least with a good energy advantage. I have my bomber box coop with about 18 B17's in it and can often kill as many as 6 of the heavies with a combo of missles and guns. Still I am lucky to get one out of four with the missles and am more comfortable with the guns.
