I've transferred this link from the Ubi Zoo...it is an incredible story. A captured T-34-76 was used by the Germans in Estonia. After running low or out of fuel they drove it into a pond and it submerged in about 7 - 12 meters of water. This was witnessed by someone who relayed the information years later and a recovery team undertook the task of pulling it out. Believe it or not, the engine was fired up without a major rebuild, apparently water had not filled the crankcase.
