I received complaints about wednesday's mission.
the problem (according to the reds that were there) was that 1) the first blue pilot to show up was 15 minutes late 2) the host was 30 minutes late 3) the host chose to wait for another 20 - 30 minutes because "Badger's watching his football game"
I have been given to understand (in no uncertain terms) that the pilots in question are not willing to fly in the campaign any more. Not because of this incident; they say this has been an ongoing problem.
What happened?

Could it be that we have a misunderstanding as to which time of day applies on wednesday?
At which time did the mission start?

First of all Wed night's mission did start late, it started late due to several factors none of which had to do with watching football. Primarily it had to do with downloading and building the mission that takes some time since it is downloaded from Emils server. There have been several occasions in the past when Mission planners had asked for additional time to modify, change plans, restarts, etc that have delayed start and completion times. The hosts and builders have additional responsibilities that some of you fail to realize, which include debugging and other issues that can be part of SEOW campaigns. Those that just show up and fly should try the admin role before you complain about delays. That being said it is our intent to start all missions at the posted times.

sjonnie there must be a slight misunderstanding as to what time the mission is supposed to start....
1) the first blue pilot to show up was 15 minutes late
This is not true... I myself was on teamspeak approx 1/2 hour before the 2:00 GMT start time (9:00 PM EST usa). Pilots began trickling in approx 10 mins before this on HL.
2) the host was 30 minutes late
Again, I'm failing to understand this but perhaps your pilots did not know that I was ready to go before 2:00 GMT but I had not logged on to HL yet. Please give your pilots access to our comms if you would like.
3) the host chose to wait for another 20 - 30 minutes because "Badger's watching his football game"
Well, I was joking around when I said this... but it was taken literally, and not true. We were talking about the football game while mission building was occurring.... no intentional delays on our part.
I wholeheartedly understand the displeasure with the late start. I think that it is very commendable that your pilots show up at what is definitely considered an odd time to fly for your time zone. The schedule was not intentionally created this way to inconvenience your group. I think that as we get ramped back up after the break the starts will become timely once again. Badger is resuming mission building and the planners (ours in this instance) all need to get plans in place to facilitate the building to ensure the start is prompt. If I had my druthers the HL launch would occur right at 2:00 GMT, end of story... but for this mission it did not work out that way. Please extend apologies on behalf of our squad and we will strive to kick these things off at the designated times.
Please verify with your pilots that 2:00 GMT is the proper understood start time. I believe that there is no longer a discrepancy with the schedule and that we ironed out all of the problems with the last DST shift. This is not meaning to say that the mission did not start late, it did, approx 40 minutes.

Thanks for the explanation Scannon.
What I posted here was just a simple replication of what the guys wrote in our forum and I decided to ask you guys what happened.
I am actually not surprised to find that the football game bit was a joke on your part. I think I know Badger well enough by now to assume he was not watching TV but working to get us airborne at the first opportunity.
Badger said "The hosts and builders have additional responsibilities that some of you fail to realize, which include debugging and other issues that can be part of SEOW campaigns. " Indeed, some of us, but not all. ;D I have already explained this to the guys. Your efforts are well appreciated.
