S~:
Fall Gelb has been a great experience to introduce many of us to SEOW and HSFX. While we continue this campaign I thought it would be a good time to get some suggestions on what campaigns would be interesting to develop for the future. Just simply post in the thread any ideas you may have.

I was thinking something of a campaign with every type of warfare present. That'd be Fall Gelb + ships (carriers maybe) + trains. That'd be needing a map with large enough landmass and water, a big island maybe. I really enjoy the size of the Fall Gelb map, so a landmass of similar magnitude would be good. I do not know if such map Exists or if it does, what environment would it bring with it, though. Two hours mission time is good. One hour is way too short for my taste.

The Solomons. Extremely large map but no trains. 800x500 kms.... New Guinea. 600x400 kms
I vote for Italy Africa Greece map or Gulf of Biscay.

I participated in a campaign using the Slot map that was heaps of fun....Navigation was a bit tricky due to the large ammounts of water, but was great...shipping, seaplanes, torpedo bombers.

S!: The guys over at ground zero seow forum have posted a proposal for a campaign around based around late 1943. The nights they propose are Thursday nights at 2200 hours EST (US). Here is a link to the proposal seowhq.net/seowforum/viewtopic.php?t=813It gives some details. I thought I would pass it along to all of you guys. Maybe all of the fall gelb crew can combine forces and fly axis and give them some competition. I think they are mostly allied based squadrons. Anyway here is the direct link to the SEOW ground zero forum. groundzeroseow.com/Joomla15/Let me know what you guys think after looking at the above links. It would just give us something to do on Thursdays. Badger

The nice thing about this map is the fact that there are not too many roads so the chances of finding targets and enemies are better than on the France map.

I've been talking to Badger about a potential Sunday evening (Zulu) campaign, and the 69th would like to invite you all to participate in an iassi 1944 campaign once BoF winds down. It's designed to create maximum ground war with realistic front lines, centered around the first Iassi (Jassi) offensive in May, which was a failure. We're currently running Kuban which launched with 500 infantry platoons, plus supporting tanks, arty and ships, and the campaign has been wonderfully stable, thanks in part to our powerful server and dedicated high-bandwidth line. It's been great to actually be able to cross physical front lines, to check the center and wheel into a flank, to try a double-envelopment, rather than the usual static tactics centered around isolated strong points. Badger has more details and a link to the rules, still a work in progress (and open to discussion) but able to give an idea. The campaign could be ready in a matter of weeks, although I doubt either of our current sunday campaigns will be done by then.
