S~ all,
Irish here. I have been working on a special project out in LA. This prevents my flying with you all. Did get to go to the Chino air show a couple of weeks ago. Got to see a FW190A8 one of the new build Flug Werks aircraft flying. That was a thrill. Also got to see three of the ac that my Dad used to have flying. They were Grumman F8F Bearcats. That was a very impressive aircraft. Dad used to say that their Bearcats could outperform the early jets. At one time they had both jets and Bearcats on their carrier (USS Boxer). He used to call us kids "Bearcat's Kittens". At the show the F8F clearly was the fastest piston engine plane of the day. They did also have an La7 which was tiny and also quit impressive. Just wanted to say "Guten Tag" to my sqn mates and let you all know I was still kickin. I will be in SoCal for all summer until my project is wrapped up.
