Below are the latest updates for HSFX (version 5.01) released March 2011.
IL2 Game Installation:
You will need a base game installation of IL2 1946 v 4.101m installed on your hard drive. The correct procedure to patch to IL2 1946 v 4.101m is as follows
1. Install IL2 1946 DVD version 4.07 (from box) or www.ubi.com/US/Games/Info.aspx?pId=5163
2. Install patch 4.08 update

3. Install patch 4.09m update

4. Install new default skins patch 4.09m

7. This will give you a clean copy of 4.101m. This is a good time to make a backup copy of this game folder for future updating or if you need to reinstall, so make a backup of this somewhere it will be valuable.
Additionally our squadron has two requirements for flight operations. Installed copies of the latest version of (HSFX currently 5.01). HSFX is used for SEOW online coop campaigns and it is important to have a separate copy to allow access to some of the campaigns. HSFX 5.0 is installed over your clean copy of 4.101m.

10. Install HSFX sound fix Download HSFX sounds file improvement. This file is placed in your main IL-2 Sturmovik directory.
