S~: This is a file that I got from 242nd_Chap that is an improvement for the sounds. It was inadvertently left out of the patch and was available on the 242 ftp server. With 242nd_Chap permission I have made the file available hosted at the site below. Just simply download extract to your desktop and copy and paste the fb_hfxsounds file in the IL-2 Sturmovik main directory. Download HSFX sounds file improvement. This file is placed in your main IL-2 Sturmovik directory. dl.dropbox.com/u/26976891/fb_hfxsounds.sfsEnjoy JG26_Badger

oh dear..
You took the one file, from inside the folder and added it to your main IL2 folder? I've had no problems with the file.
I have recently had problems with sound in cockpit when centered, but I fixed this by switching to "stereo" (instead of "surround") and I disabled the rear ports in my audio settings.

Yes, overwrote the original one. And then I couldn't hear my guns from the cockpit. I got rid of it so it is okay now, I just hope it doesn't bring up any compatibility problems with the campaign.

I hear my guns fine do not know what you did or what your sound card you have. The fix was from the 242 site directly so do not know why it did not work for you Nuke.

Wow, now my game is crashing to desktop immediately after launching the splash screen. My back-up file isn't helping for some reason. Dang!
