I'd very much advise both sides to put in their plans preferably at least one day before the mission launch day for Wednesday and Saturday. For Sunday, obviously, no such restrictions are possible to apply, but please complete planning for Sunday's mission before GMT 1300 (8 hours before mission starts).
I'm proposing this because only two people are able to generate the mission at this point, and both of them live in Australian timezone, and (the problem lies here) they need to sleep. The proposed schedule seems feasible.
This way, mission schedule would be consistent again (much less postponals) which would lure some of the lost pilots back to action. 4Shades, Hawk5, would be good if you could confirm this (the Sunday part), I do not know when you guys go to sleep.
Everyone agrees?

I am really just a backup for 4Shades in the event he is unable to build for whatever reason. The time sounds fine to me though as that makes it 9:30PM (AEST) on the Sunday night before the mission which starts at Monday 5:30am my local time.

I do agree with the intent of your post Nuke.
However I am really in favor of an even better solution which would be to have someone in the GMT-5 timezone to be capable of mission generation and reporting.
I have tried to implement it myself, as has Hayzee, and both of us are running into the same problem. Even though we have all of the correct software installed we simply cannot establish connection to the host server. We will both continue to try as there are various software components that need to be installed and hopefully it is something really simple that we both have botched or overlooked..... but at the moment we are still stuck.

I got the SEDCS working scannon......but after talking with 4Shades, it seems there is more to it than just generating and reporting the mission..to safely do so, you need to download the entire database to your machine and do it locally, not over the web....if you dont, you stand the chance of totally screwing the entire campaign, and everything that has happened to date.
Would be best to spend a couple of hours to get properly set up & walked thru the whole process by someone who knows (and has the time)....Trying to weed thru wiki and decypher what needs to get done step by step is impossible.

Indeed, I only proposed this as a temporary solution until someone in a different timezone is capable of handling the system tasks, which would be the best solution.

I agree with all of the above and I think we can aim to do both.
We can make sure that we have our plans done early for the time it takes us to establish a d/b admin in the North american or in the European time zone.
It also deserves mention that by now, Badger may have received JoJo's package which includes a m/b to get his rig back in the running.
If Badger is still in a position to do what he did before, that may solve the problem too. Right?

Well Hayzee I'm glad to hear that you have that much working.
Yes I understand that at any time the whole campaign can be pooched due to the various FUBARs you mentioned. I have no desire to attempt any of this on the fly without a certainty that it will work.
It may be beneficial just to generate a dummy campaign to make sure all of the various steps are known beforehand. I've also heard Badger go though many iterations in troubleshooting error messages that I'm guessing is a major task in its own right.

Early on in the campaign while we were bedding down the map mod and other new things there were occasional errors in the Build/Analyze process. These are basically gone now.
However, the physical size of the campaign database is now so large (it's a big campaign with 80+ missions stored in it) that routine use of the DCS to Build/Analyze over the net is no longer recommended. It may take an hour to Analyze or more, and net connections may drop out during this time, leaving the DB in an intermediate state.
For that reason I d/l the DB to my PC then Build/Analyze locally (which is much quicker) and then copy the updates back to Emil's server in Europe. All told this is quicker and more reliable, but takes quite a bit of DB structural knowledge. That's why I don't recommend it for beginners.
On the other hand, someone living in western Europe should be able to use the simple DCS-only method because net connection to Emil's server there would be better than from the US or, heaven help us, Australia.
Cheers, 4Shades

Thanks for the precautionary update 4shades.
I spoke with Hayzee and he relayed the corrections to the DB name and server PW... and now I have connection through SEDCS as well.
